If your ideal summer evening includes a glass of Washington wine, live music in the background, and discovering work from talented local artists, you'll want to add Mercer Island Art UnCorked to your calendar.
This annual event transforms the Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery and Mercer Island Town Center into a celebration of art, food, wine, and community. One of my favorite things about events like this is how they bring together so many incredible local businesses in one place. You'll have the opportunity to sample wines from more than 20 Washington wineries, along with local beers, ciders, and non-alcoholic beverages. If you discover a new favorite, many of the featured producers offer bottles for purchase to take home.
Beyond the tastings, you'll find a curated collection of artwork from the Mercer Island Visual Arts League, showcasing everything from paintings and photography to jewelry, ceramics, and handcrafted pieces from talented local artists. It's the perfect chance to support the creative community while finding something truly unique. Of course, no summer festival is complete without great food and live entertainment. Throughout the afternoon, you can enjoy live music, grab a bite from local food vendors, and stroll through the sculpture gallery while soaking up the atmosphere.
A few things to know before you go:
- Saturday, August 29
- 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Greta Hackett Outdoor Sculpture Gallery in Mercer Island Town Center
- This is a 21+ event, and advance tickets are recommended since it often sells out.
Whether you're a wine enthusiast, an art lover, or simply looking for a fun local event to wrap up the summer, Mercer Island Art UnCorked offers a little something for everyone. It's another great reminder of how lucky we are to have so many unique community events right here in the Pacific Northwest.
