Bellevue’s Wilburton neighborhood is getting an exciting new addition this summer with the arrival of Willie Burton’s, a community-focused food hall designed to bring people together over great food, drinks, and local energy. Created by Seattle entrepreneur Marcus Lalario, the founder of Lil Woody’s and Sugar Shack Unlimited, the space will transform a former car dealership site into a lively gathering spot filled with flavor, creativity, and connection.
The new venue will feature four unique food and beverage concepts under one roof, including a new Eastside location of the beloved Lil Woody’s, a full-service cocktail bar called The Bar @ Willie Burton’s, and two casual dining concepts from James Beard Award-winning chef Brady Ishiwata Williams of Tomo. The goal is to create a space that feels welcoming, social, and deeply connected to the neighborhood.
Designed with both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, Willie Burton’s will include a beer garden, family-friendly seating, and even a children’s play area alongside the Eastrail corridor. It’s meant to be more than just a place to grab a bite, it’s being built as a hub for events, community experiences, and everyday connection.
The project also marks the beginning of a much larger transformation happening in Wilburton. Developers plan to eventually turn the surrounding seven-acre site into a vibrant mixed-use neighborhood with new housing, retail, dining, and easy access to transit, trails, and the future Wilburton light rail station.
With the Eastrail, Grand Connection Crossing, and Bellevue’s continued growth all converging in one area, Willie Burton’s feels like an early glimpse into the future of the Eastside, energetic, walkable, community-driven, and full of new experiences waiting to happen.
